Undies!

Thank the Lord; we are rocking big girl undies! Not panties, but undies, ladies and gentlemen! This past week was Easton's first week at daycare in her super think Gerber undies. I am thrilled to report she didn't have a single accident. We are still using pull-ups during nap time and bed time for now.

I have said this so many freaking times, but potty training has been the hardest thing Josh and I have attempted to master as parents. You have to be crazy, I mean committed to hourly potty breaks. And let me tell you boys and girls, an hour goes by flipping fast. Just how fast?... Well Easton goes potty before we leave the house; we drive to the store; we shop for 20 minutes; it's potty time; we finishing shopping and check out; oh, potty again because it is a 20-30 minute ride home and it will be potty time during the drive; we get home and unload; low and behold it's potty time again. You see how quickly an hour goes by. Did you also notice it takes foreeever to get a simple task completed?

Let’s talk about patience. Hmmm... having Easton has really increased my ability to be patient. Now, I didn't say I am a perfectly patient parent. FAR from that. I said it increased it. However one very very very hot Saturday afternoon I lost my patients and spanked my daughter. Not once folks, but twice. Josh and I are not opposed to spanking, but this, my friends, was a spanking that I did out of pure lack of patients. It was hot, like 100+ degrees out. Easton and I were Wichita bound for a bridal shower. I had brought along her little portable potty so we could pull over and use the potty when needed. Well it didn't take long for Easton to figure out that when she said she needed to pee I would pull off the highway and she could sit in the back of the Tahoe and do her business. Of course this was fun for her... not me... not when we were trying to be somewhere... not when I was traveling solo with a potty training toddler... and when it was a 100+ degrees out. Not fun at all. Thus, I spanked her for playing games and not listening. For making me pull the car over every 15 minutes because she wanted to sit on the potty and do nothing. I just lost my cool. Not my finest moment as a Mommy.

For all those moments where I wanted to pull my hair out and cry because I was sure my daughter would be wearing a diaper to prom, there were many more awesome moments when Easton had great potty days. Moments I was so overwhelmed with pride and joy for my daughter.

Our potty training journey is still far from over, but this week was a huge milestone in the potty world. For the first time since we began, I feel like we are moving forward instead of one step forward and two steps back.
Easton, we are so proud of you and we love you very much!

Have you seen anything cuter than little undies running around? Well, maybe a naked baby bottom. Here are the little undies that run around our home!

And who doesn't love a tent?!
You can read to your babies in it!

Tiblow FUN!

5 miles of hell! That is what I like to call it, but it is probably better known as the Tiblow Trot. Whatever, it is hell. Three years after running it the first time, Lexie and I found ourselves cursing those hills once again. This time, however, we killed it! Neither of us walked... not even the steepest hill could keep us from running the entire route. I was especially proud of Lexie. In the past I have called her Sexy Lexie, but I now have a new name for her, Legs Lexie! She smoked me. I can't actually give you her time due to the fact she is respectfully declined making a charitable donation to the Bonner Springs Rotary Club. Some would say she bootlegged the race. Some being my hubby. Nonetheless, I was glad three years later we were able to bitch slap this race instead of the other way around.

After a quick shower, we headed back downtown for the parade!

Papa had to plug her ears when the firetrucks and police cars went by.

And guess who we ran into!!!! The Cooks! Easton and Ava got to ride the carousel together!
That evening Momma got her Anniversary gift... NEW RUNNING SHOES! I found out that I was apparently buying the incorrect size of running shoe. Who knew!?

To My Husband on our 4 Year Anniversary

Everyday I am thankful for our journey. For the road that lies ahead, whether it is filled with happiness or sorrow. I am grateful for the road we have traveled. The one that got us to where we are today.  Though we have been married 4 years, we have spent 11 trying to figuring each other out. And guess what? We still are trying to. And that is ok. No one is perfect. No marriage is perfect. Just when we started getting the hang of being Mr. and Mrs. we threw in pregnancy. Hormones and all, we survived. Then came the best thing we ever created... Easton Blondell Bosley. And now we are not only Mr. and Mrs., but Daddy and Mommy as well. Talk about starting all over again trying to figure each other out.

We see friends getting divorced and I think that could be us. Seriously, marriages seem to be crumbling around us. But I know that will not be us. Even our worst fight wouldn't make us not fight for our marriage. Not fight for the life we built together, the daughter we have created, and the home we have made. It's not easy. No one said it would be. There are days I get so pissed and there are days you do as well, but at the end of the day I know and you know that we love each other.

Husband, I love you because you make me a better friend, daughter, wife, mother. I love you for your unwavering support as I train for my first half marathon; for understanding what it truly means to be a daddy to a little girl; for always being the affectionate one and wanting to cuddle; for telling me how beautiful I am even when I was 30+ pounds heavier than when you married me. You inspire and motivate me everyday. You can make me laugh and cry at the same time. Thank you for giving me control over our finances, because lets face it, I am way to much of a control freak to not know where our money is going.

I wouldn't change a lick of it! Not one moment. Not one laughter. Not one tear. Not one fight.
Not one single thing. Happy 4 year anniversary to my husband!

We spent this past Saturday have dinner and drinks at the Cheesecake Factory  to celebrate this great milestone.

It's about the 'I DO'!

What does a the words greatest husband get his loving wife? A gift card to Gary Gribbles for running shoes!  No that is supportive. PS I didn't even have to give him any hints.

Pearls, dresses, and heels! It's DRESS UP time!

I knew this day would come. When we found out we were having a girl, I knew my life would be about pink, bows, dresses, toe nail polish, makeup, and pretend house. All things girly and all things wonderful. Frankly, I couldn't wait to do it all with my daughter. This past Saturday Easton and I had our first of many dress up sessions, which included a mini-photo shoot, of course. We had a blast and I loved spending time pretending and being girly with my little bug. Though I did have to politely decline the offer to wear one of Easton's dresses. Instead, I opted to change to one of my own.

Here is to many more dress up dates and pink toe nail polish!

The Road to 13.1: Farm Stampede 5K

Yet another race conquered! And again I was able to run with two great gals! This race was on the smaller side. I assume since it was also the weekend of the Race for the Cure that effected the number of participants. Nonetheless... Lexie and I finished under 30 minutes. Chrisie just rocked it! I am so proud of that girl. She has some serious dedication that I totally admire! It wasn't an easy finish either. The last .10 was a dead sprint for Lex and I. The course had some crazy serious down hills. Swear to God, some of the hills had to be completely vertical. Alright, maybe not, but it sure the hell felt like it.

It's FAIR time!

It is that time of year. It is fair time! A time where fried food mixed with manure breezes through the air. The Bosley's loaded up and headed to the Leavenworth County Fair Friday night. Of course we wanted to make sure Easton go the full fair experience, so she had a hotdog and curly fries for dinner.

But we didn't make it out of the food vendor area without purchasing a corndog also.
Per Easton's request we strolled through the buildings and looked at all the animals.
She even got to pet a baby calf.
No trip to the fair is complete without riding some rides. The horsey on the carousel and...

the elephants that go up and down and round and round!

Easton loved the fair. She loved the bright lights of the rides, the music, the animals, and the food. The entire atmosphere had her hooked. I am very sad we weren't able to enjoy a funnel cake, but Josh and I were both stuffed and we figured Easton had ate way too much already. Guess there is always next year. To top the end of the night off, Easton got to pee in the grass. This is a huge deal for her and she loves to pee in the grass like Harlie Dog. Oh, and I am happy to report it was a accident free evening.

Water Park Wednesday!

Yesterday Easton's Aunt Vern and I ditched out of work early and took Easton to the water park. We got there just before 2:00 pm and didn't leave until after 5:00 pm . I took Easton down the enclosed yellow slide, she floated in the lazy river with Aunt Vern, and chatted it up in the kiddy area. Oh, and she had a hotdog and snicker bar. What more could you ask for on a hot Wednesday afternoon?! Though there were a couple of times my daughter insisted she didn't need to wear a swimming suite and began stripping down. Good lord! I guess playing naked in the water in the backyard caught up to us.  Nonetheless, it was a blast! Excuse the picture overload. I love capturing moments. Next year we will make this a monthly date from June-August. Right, Aunt Vern?

Peek-a-boo... I see you!

Please excuse my pasty white legs.
