A Vintage Wedding Weekend!
First, Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Sconyers! We spent this past weekend in Tulsa, OK for my cousin's wedding. We left Friday and returned Sunday afternoon. Easton was wonderful. Because I was in the wedding, she spent most of the weekend chilling with Daddy. They went swimming in the hotel pool, had lunch and dinner dates and relaxed in the hotel. Even though it was smokin' hot Saturday, the wedding was gorgeous! I was lucky enough to stand up with Lacey as one of her Matron of Honors and was honored to do so. The vibe of her wedding was vintage and it was pulled of fabulously! Not too themey and not to under-done. Just perfect... from the black gloves we wore to the veil in Lacey's hair, it couldn't had been more perfect.
Once again Easton did fabulous sleeping in her pack n play in the hotel! She was wonderful all weekend even when she missed her naps! We are truly blessed to have such a great baby!

Pitter...Patter..
The sound that fills our house! Easton took her first steps this past Saturday. While she has been cruising a while, she actually took several wobbly steps without the assistants of furniture. Unfortunately I was out running errands with my mom and missed it, but Josh didn't. I came home that evening and was playing on the floor with her. Then out of now where and as nonchalant as can be Josh says "Oh yeah, Easton walked from her dino to the ottoman tonight." Of course I followed up with "How long were you going to wait to tell me this! This is huge! You are so nonchalant about it!" Josh "I forgot." Me "Really" So of course I wanted to see. I scoped her up and her to my mom and had her walk to me. SHE DID! I was so proud of her and couldn't believe it! I could feel the knot forming in the back of my throat and had to fight of tears. It was a very bittersweet moment for me. Sweet because my baby had accomplished a major task and I was one proud Momma. Bitter because she is growing up way too fast! That evening I realized we no longer had a baby, but a toddler. Geeezzz...

4th of July Weekend Fun!
This was Easton first 4th of July! This time last year I was a hot, swollen, pregnant mess and that I would pop any day. Anyways, we had a very busy weekend that didn't allow for many naps, but Easton was a trooper and went with the flow. Saturday I spent the majority of my day working on Easton's birthday stuff. Though I got a lot accomplished, I still have some minor projects to finish in the next couple of weeks. Sunday we headed to McLouth Lake to visit friends in from Chicago. Of course me being me and Josh... well being influenced by me... we packed and brought everything we thought we may need. This included a highchair, pack n play, several blankets, food, several changes of clothes, camera, toys, inflatable pool and the list keeps going. But hey, I would much rather be prepared then stuck with out something. Well packed and prepared = fun trip for EVERYONE! We also had a huge event happen this weekend... Easton took her first steps, but more on that in a separate post. On to the pictures...
Before we headed to the lake...

Kim, Colby, Josh, Me, Blake and Easton

Easton and Blake playing in there kiddy pool.

She LOVED the pool and is quite the dare devil.

So we left the kiddy pool at the lake house Sunday so that Blake could use it the rest of the week. Monday daddy went to Wal-Mart in search of new pool for Easton to play in and came back with a bigger kiddy pool which she loved. Like I said before Easton has no fear. We sat her down to check out her pool and she crawled into it clothes and all. So striped her wet clothes off her and she went baby dipping.

A Kentucky Derby Bachelorette Affair!
Mommy had a girls weekend in Oklahoma! It was also the first time I drank since finding out I was pregnant! Yikes... don't worry I didn't even get drunk. I did however have a fabulous time with a great group of ladies. Daddy and Easton of course had a great daddy-daughter weekend.
In the suite at the Hard Rock Hotel

The theme for the bachelorette party was the Kentucky Derby.. hints the hats. My Aunt Rita did my hat, Lacey's and another bridesmaid. She did a fabulous job. So below we are at the horse races. I had never been and the first bet I place my horse won! Sister Shelly Rose brought me $13.40! Score! I only paid $2.00 for the ticket!

11 Months!
Like I said the Bosley household has been super busy. Which means we were about a week late getting Easton's 11 month pictures taken and even later getting them up on the blog. Nonetheless, she is a 11 months and a full of energy! Some highlights of the past month...
- Food... she loves to eat. EVERYTHING! Well almost everything. We have booted babyfood and have gone to "adult" food. She feeds her self... well the best she can. A lot ends up in the highchair or overboard, but she enjoys feeding herself. The dogs are also enjoying this phase too!
- Talking- EVERYTHING is a dog. She points a the ceiling fan.. dog? She points at me... dog? Yes, she sometimes will point at the dogs and say dog. She has the whole Dada and Mama thing down and now knows to associate me with mama and Josh with dada. No... she will say no to us, Nana, the dogs, whoever. Baby... This one as a couple of different versions, Babe, Baba and Baby. My theory where this came from is 10% me because I will say Heeeyyy Baba to her on occasion. But the other 90% is from little Ms. Ava and Mr. Ethan Cook (Mandy's daughter and son) every morning they say "Good morning Baby when we come in or "Hi baby" or "Can I hold Baby" or something Baby. If you can't tell they LOVE Easton.
- Still in size 3 diapers.
- I have officially stopped nursing so she gets 8 oz. of breakmilk in a bottle three times a day. We have started putting breastmilk in a sippy cup at breakfast time. She does fabulous with it! We are slowly transitioning away from the bottle to the sippy cup.
- Oh clothes... The other day she wore a 3-6 mo. onesie. I know... seriously. She can wear 12 month onesies, but they are a little big around he belly and legs. Length they are perfect. Now bottoms... she needs 6-9 months. So basically we have WIDE range of clothes in the closet!
- She has taken a few steps, but she really isn't walking. Just cruising the furniture, baby gates and whatever else she can cling on to. Easton can stand by herself for long periods of time.
- She now has attitude! Like her Daddy! Ha! Wants what she wants when she wants it! But that rarely comes out and majority of the time she is our happy giggly little girl!
- She still doesn't have a single tooth! Crazy, I know.
-She is our little dare devil. She loves to be thrown in the air and fears nothing.
-She is still a great sleeper and continues to sleep through the night for us.
- Peek-a-boo is one of her favorite games. She loves to run/walk around our ottman and be chased!
-When you ask her where your nose is... she will point to your nose.
-Loves to climb up you and onto the ottman. I pretty sure the ottman was the best purchased ever!!!

Hair bows are no longer an option. She loves to yank them off her head so currently we are boycotting them.

Daddy's Day 2011
Josh had a fabulous first Father's Day! He really really really wanted the smoke box for his grill. So Easton came through and got her Daddy what he reeeaaaallly wanted. We had family over Sunday and we BBQ. It was a nice and relaxing family Sunday! So I am going to get all sappy on you. I believe Josh was born to be a Dad. Strike that... Josh was born to be a Dad to a little girl. He is absolutely wonderful with his daughter. Seriously in 3 years I can totally see him seating at a child size table with Easton having tea and cookies with all her stuffed animals. Of course he will be all dressed up girly and be happy as can be about!
Josh has been an outstanding Dad...

Happy Father's Day to my Dad also! He is the greatest Dad in the world. I can always count on him and he has taught me so many things in life! I hope I am half the parent he was to my brother and I.
