Birthday Bash: OUR LITTLE LADY TURNED ONE!

Easton woke up in a great mood (as usual) the day of her birthday! She must have known she was one and now considered a toddler!

I am going to start with the details of the birthday bash. Some will say it was way too much for a first birthday party others will understand. Yes this was about Easton turning one, but it was also a celebration of many more things, Josh and I survived our first year as parents and I met my goal of providing breastmilk for a year! Not to mention I enjoy planning parties... birthday, baby showers, bridal showers etc. I LOVED planning my wedding! On with it! The theme was ladybugs.

Here are the centerpieces. Yellow tissue paper flower, ladybug pick, crazy green paper grass, terracotta pot and a Easton and 1 pick.
Instead of doing the traditional cake and ice cream. I went a different route. Can you say DESSERT BUFFET! Chocolate and Rainbow Cupcakes, Strawberry and Lemon Cakeballs, Cookies, Brownies and Lemon bars! Yummy! Of course in the center of it all was Easton's birthday cake! The dessert buffet was a hit, especially with the kids. So below is a picture of the dessert buffet. Swagged above the sweets are pictures from when Easton was a newborn until 12 months.

Closer view of the timeline. I purchased the little ladybug tags from Ciao Bambino.

Cookies were by Icings by Ang.

Easton's cake was by Sweets N Such.

These little tags were also ordered from Ciao Bambino.

Eating a snack.

Hugs for Sully!
All the kiddos!

Cake Time! We sang Happy Birthday to Easton and she loved!

She also LOVED her cake!

To keep the kids entertained I bought some 8x10 canvases, finger paint and cheap paint brushes. The kids LOVED the activity. Parents on the other hand cringed when I said they would be painting, but there wasn't any spills, no fights and no one was covered in paint. Instead of going home with a favor bag full of candy they had masterpieces!

We decided not to open gifts during the party, but instead bring them home and open them after the party. I believe this was the best idea ever! Easton could help when she wanted and still run around and have fun!Our daughter is so loved by so many people. One lucky little girl!

Easton had a wonderful 1st Birthday! She was one tired little girl that night and didn't even finish her bottle before she passed out!
