Three Months and Sassy!

I can't believe I am a Mommy of a 3 month old! I swear it was just yesterday when they laid Easton on my chest and our eyes meet for the very first time. A moment I will never forget! My neighbor told me when I was pregnant that you don't know what love is until you have a child. She said you love your husband, but you LOVE your child. It is a totally different kind of love! (These Mommy words of wisdom are courtesy of Stephanie Saueressig) She is exactly right! I love my husband, but I LOVE my daughter more than I could have imagined.

At three months old Easton can roll over! Yep, this past Wednesday evening while we were doing tummy time on her playmat she rolled over to her back. Of course I praised her like crazy and then I yelled for Josh and she did it again for Daddy. It was a really great moment for both of us. I could see how proud Josh was of his little girl. It was all over his face!
Here is how she started....
Then she rolled over and was all smiley...
but then she busted out the pout! Daddy is so in trouble! We are going to go bankrupt if she keeps this up!
Easton's head control is great. She does get a little bit of a bobble head every now and again, but for the most part she can hold her own. She is cooing, againg, and grunting away! She is so talkative. She loves to carry on conversations with you. She is eating 3-4 oz every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Easton does not sleep through the night. She has done it for me a couple of times, but is definitely not consistent. I still get up to nurse her anywhere from 1 to 4 times a night. This past month she has also fought her first cold. She had a stuffy nose, gunky eyes, and slept a lot, but was not cranky one bit. She is the best sick baby! Within two days her symptoms were gone! I took her to the doctor for a three month weight and height check and she is 10 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 1/2". The nurse was concerned that Easton only gained 7 oz. in a month so she suggested I come back in Monday afternoon and do another check when Dr Yu was in. I will be devastated if they tell me we need to supplement with formula.

I have a totally new respect for single Moms out there. I am talking about those Moms who work 40 hours a week and live on their own. Do it all by themselves. I have no idea how they do it. I had to have my Mom come out and stay with me one night earlier this week when Josh was out of town for three days. And I only had one kid! I couldn't imagine doing it with two! Or even those Moms whos husbands travel a lot for their job. I have so much respect for you!
